ChildPrint ID Kits

ChildPrint ID kits have arrived
The Aurora Lions have teamed up with the Aurora Police Department in a project to help keep the children of our community safe.

The Aurora Lions purchased 2000 ChildPrint ID kits, and presented them to the Aurora Police Department at their March 3, 2009 meeting.

The ChildPrint ID kit assists parents in easily creating a private and extremely comprehensive record of their child's personal and medical information, for use in an emergency.  When a child is missing, the first few hours are crucial to recovery.  During this very emotional time, parents often search for current photos and cannot always remember their child's most basic characteristics.

ChildPrint ID kits enables parents to immediately give the police a complete and accurate description, saving precious time, and hastening the search.  In addition, ChildPrint ID kits include two pages of important safety tips, because education is essential to helping kids avoid dangerous situations.

ChildPrint ID kits include:

A 10 finger, fingerprint area
A freezer-safe DNA hair storage baggie
A pair of "Safe Shoes Child ID" labels
Space to record contact, personal, medical, and physical information
Space to store a 4" by 6" photo
Dental charts for permanent and baby teeth
Two pages of valuable safety tips
All packaged in a heavy gauge clear plastic sleeve

These ChildPrint ID kits are available at the Aurora Police Department and at various events scheduled by the Aurora Police.

When such events are scheduled, they will be posted on our website.
